The Australian Institute of Physics Victorian branch in collaboration with physics student societies from universities from around Melbourne to organise the 2018 AIP Careers Night. This event is aimed at giving Australian university physics students the opportunity to interact with employers and professionals in physics, from both academia and industry.

The event will include panel discussions from physicists Helen Maynard-Casley, Tom Payten, Amanda Perdomo and Daniel Langley. During these panel discussions, attendees will learn about these speakers journey from university physics to their current careers. Following these panel discussions attendees will be able to mingle with physicists from industry and academia whilst enjoying canapes.

The Inter-University Committee which is organising this Careers Night is committed to a creating an event that reflects and speaks to the diversity of our community. We believe that a successful careers night can only be run by listening to a wide range of voices across many different experiences. We're listening to our supporting organisations, particularly the AIP, to try to bring a diverse balance across many aspects of the event.

Please be advised that this event is aimed at physics students who are further along in their studies, generally above 2nd year, and including honours students.
